Following continued growth, they are now seeking a Practice Manager to join their highly regarded team.

About this Employer

The Practice Manager will support one of Chambers’ teams, managing the practice and caseload of a group of barristers and acting as the key link between members and clients. The role involves handling new instructions from start to finish, working closely with other Practice Managers to ensure consistent communication and collaboration with the marketing team on business development initiatives.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially minded and confident working in a fast-paced environment. They should demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, a proactive and solutions-focused approach and experience supporting barristers’ practices, including elements of business development. Discretion, sound judgement and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a proactive and efficient service to members, solicitors and professional clients
  • Managing diaries and supporting day-to-day practice administration
  • Developing strong knowledge of Chambers’ practice areas and individual members’ work
  • Holding practice development meetings and supporting long-term career planning
  • Supervising allocated junior clerks and supporting their development
  • Leading and contributing to business development and marketing activities
  • Preparing estimates, negotiating fees and ensuring accurate data entry for effective reporting
