Person Specification

The successful candidate will have prior clerking experience within chambers and a proven ability to manage busy practices effectively. You will demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills, excellent prioritisation and the ability to multi-task under pressure. A confident communicator, you will build strong client relationships, show commercial awareness and contribute to business development, while working collaboratively within a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the clerks’ room delivers a proactive, efficient and best-in-class service to barristers, solicitors and professional clients, maintaining high standards, attention to detail and proper process.
  • Supervise, support and mentor junior members of the clerking team.
  • Work collaboratively with barristers and colleagues to support practice groups, including meeting preparation and financial review.
