Chambers is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to play a key role in managing and developing the Family Practice Team. Working closely with the Senior Family Practice Manager and other Practice Managers, the successful candidate will support members’ practices, promote the team to clients and professional contacts, and contribute to Chambers’ business development through networking and relationship management.

Person Specification

  • 3-5 years of clerking or equivalent experience gained in the legal sector within Family Law, including diary management, and liaising with solicitors and court staff
  • Experience in negotiating case fees
  • Experience in building and developing professional relationships with solicitors
  • Experience in building and developing business opportunities in new areas of practice is desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Promoting the team and its members to professional clients and key organisations
  • Supporting the Senior Family Practice Manager with members’ practice reviews and follow-up actions
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of team and individual capabilities
  • Working with the DoC, PMs and members to drive business growth through events, networking and relationship-building
  • Managing existing client relationships to ensure strong communication and loyalty
  • Attending events to build connections and identify new opportunities
