Our client is a ‘Magic Circle’ Barristers’ Chambers, based in impressive offices in London WC2. Chambers has an outstanding reputation in each of its core practice areas, commercial and financial litigation, arbitration, public law and public international law and associated sub practice areas.

Its 103 barristers, including 48 King’s Counsel (‘Silks’), receive consistent tier 1 rankings in the leading legal directories for its advisory and advocacy expertise in each of its specialist practice areas for domestic and international clients.

Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable individual to the position of Marketing Executive to join its first-class support team. The Marketing Executive will provide marketing, communications and events support to Chambers, Members of Chambers (Barristers) and to the Head of Marketing. They will be responsible for the running of day-to-day marketing activity, including projects and events that are primarily dictated by the Chambers Marketing Strategy.

The Role – Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with the Senior Clerk and Team Leaders, duties will include.

  • Day-to-day management of the busy global and UK events calendars.
  • Significant event management, including venue and location research, booking and contract negotiations.
  • Support and improve Chambers’ marketing and business development plans.
  • Identifying, developing, and facilitating creative marketing initiatives and opportunities to raise the profile of Chambers and its Members.
  • Analyse trends and patterns in statistics to make recommendations to improve Chambers’ Marketing Strategy.
  • Reflecting on digital marketing practices to make suggestions and improve digital marketing strategy.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing with submissions to key legal directories.

The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2-3years’ relevant experience gained in another Chambers, or a similar legal or professional services environment. They will be very personable, highly organised, efficient, focussed and a pro-active multitasker, with excellent communication both in writing and in person. Significant experience of digital and social media is essential. A good understanding of new event technologies and a CIM qualification is preferred but is not essential.
