Our client, known for their pre-eminence in international and offshore work, specialising in commercial/chancery, is seeking a Marketing Executive to join their outstanding clerking and administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional to further their career in a set that is ranked Tier 1 for their offshore, trusts and probate practices. Key Responsibilities


  • Develop plans in conjunction with the Head Clerk, COO, the Marketing Committee and CMC, and adapt them as required to meet changing needs.
  • Monitor marketing and business development activity and use results to inform Chambers’ business development process.
  • Conduct desk research and contact clients for research purposes to inform marketing and business development activity.
  • Manage Chambers’ book publishing and launches, newsletter/bulletin production, publication and distribution.


  • Assist in arranging client meetings, pitches in accordance with the marketing and business development plan.
  • Assist the Head Clerk and Practice Managers maintaining regular contact with clients to keep them aware of Chambers’ and Members’ business activities and seek feedback from solicitors so that Chambers can effectively implement a programme of continuous improvement, sensitive to clients’ needs.
  • Manage and co-ordinate Chambers’ and members’ entries in key legal directories.
  • Review with the Head Clerk which awards to enter, assist in preparing and submit Chambers’ entries to awards
  • Manage the Chambers’ website in order to keep it up to date, working as necessary with outside contractors.
  • Co-ordinate the development, production and distribution of promotional literature (e.g. newsletters, bulletins, brochures etc.) and maintain stocks as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate any Chambers’ PR activity, e.g., writing and placing press releases.
  • Develop, manage, and utilise on behalf of Chambers suitable social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.


  • Assisting the Head Clerk in identifying future Chambers’ events, assisting in the organisation of the same.
  • Some limited attendance to administer events both in UK and Europe.


  • Assist in accounting for annual marketing/business development spend.
  • Liaising with the clerking teams and members to target appropriate clients to ensure focus and strategy of marketing activity.
  • Assist clerking team to provide performance reports as requested for events and projects for the CMC, the Head Clerk and Marketing Committee.
  • Assisting the Head Clerk in analysing impact of marketing events in relation to instructions received after such events.
  • Compile and maintain a sample master file of all Chambers’ communication materials.
  • Maintain and update the Chambers’ forward planning chart, outlining key dates for seminars, events, newsletters etc.
  • Assisting analysing data to identify target segments and to feed into the Chambers’ business development planning process.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required by the Head Clerk or COO.
  • Develop and maintain the Chambers’ client database working in conjunction with the Practice Managers.
