Person Specification

  • Ability to prioritise workload across different campaigns, in a busy environment
  • Prepared to work occasionally outside usual office hours when events are taking place
  • Experience of working on events would be ideal but it is not a pre-requisite
  • A calm, patient approach to work in a very busy environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers over the telephone, by email and in person
  • Ability to work unsupervised on regular tasks and ensure that they are completed on time

Key Responsibilities

  • Event support for seminars, conferences, pupillage fairs, social and charity-based events
  • Managing event bookings
  • Venue set up support for events including catering and name badges
  • Collating contacts for event invitation lists
  • Drawing up delegate lists
  • Client database updates
  • Diary coordination
  • Collating data for reports
  • Uploading content including news items, articles and barrister profile updates
  • Administration of legal directory submissions (Chambers & Partners/Legal 500)
  • Managing marketing stock orders
  • General support as needed

Professional Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s including a pass for English and Maths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge or experience of the legal profession would be ideal but is not a pre-requisite.
