Chambers is seeking to appoint a Marketing & Administration Assistant to work closely with the Head of Marketing, Director of Clerking and Senior Clerks, enhancing Chambers’ profile and ensuring we build on our reputation as a leading set of barristers both domestically and internationally. Your role will be split, assisting with the marketing and promotion of chambers and acting as personal assistant to the director of clerking and the senior clerks.

Person Specification

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Design skills, preferably Canva
  • Good team player

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with organising events
  • Prepare delegate lists and produce marketing collateral
  • Add news items and update barristers’ profiles on the website
  • Post to LinkedIn
  • Maintain and update client database
  • Provide administrative support to senior clerking team and manage diaries
  • Book travel/accommodation and plan itineraries for marketing trips, meetings and lunches
  • Create detailed itinerary documents and ensure members are clerks are fully briefed ahead of attending events or trips
  • Assist with compiling submissions for directories and awards
  • Manage all branded merchandise and stationery

Professional Qualifications

This role would suit a candidate with previous marketing experience or someone with experience in an administrative role who wishes to broaden and develop their remit. It is important to be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to juggle different tasks. Knowledge or experience of Chambers and the legal profession would be ideal but is not a pre-requisite.
