We are seeking applications for the role of Junior Receptionist. Working alongside the Senior Receptionist, the role focuses on delivering excellent standards of care and service to clients and colleagues, as the first point of contact for chambers.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be a team-player with excellent communications skills, a friendly and positive outlook and the ability to think on their feet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering calls politely and efficiently, transferring callers to the appropriate barrister or clerk, taking accurate and detailed messages.
  • Greeting visitors in a professional manner and maintaining Reception, the conference rooms and kitchen areas.
  • Carrying out premises checks and replenishing supplies for the building.
  • Arranging Zoom and Teams meetings, maintaining the conference rooms' AV system.
  • Arrange couriers and lunches when required.
  • Assist with the setting up of marketing events.

Professional Qualifications

  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with internal and external clients, and to deliver excellent service.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels, in writing and orally.
  • Strong efficiency and punctuality.
  • Sound organisational skills.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in a reception or customer service role would be an advantage but is not essential.
