1GC Family Law is one of the leading family law specialist set of Chambers with 105 barristers including 13 KCs who are specialists in all traditional children matters spanning public and private law concerns, regularly appearing in the High Court and Court of Appeal and covering the full range of children law issues with particular expertise in modern family law cases such as those concerning LGBT parenting, surrogacy and fertility matters.
Person Specification
- Previous experience of clerking in a Family Law set would be ideal
- Excellent numerical and communication skills.
- Self-starter, able to work unsupervised.
- Able to work in a challenging, fast paced, results focused environment.
- Polite, friendly and of smart appearance.
- Knowledge of the Legal Aid Agency Client and Cost Management System would be an advantage but training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing Counsel’s FAS fees on the Diary Management System
- Email solicitors fee notes and request fees to be allocated on CCMS.
- Enter fees on CCMS.
- Upload relevant documents.
- Chase fees that have not been allocated by telephone and email.
- Chase up missing documents required by the LAA to pay fees.
Professional Qualifications
GCSE/A Level/BTEC/NVQ or relevant experience
