An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clerk to join our talented team. Under management of the Practice Managers, general duties include: working to ensure the smooth running of the post room/ copy room; liaising with the clerking team; taking barristers and their papers to court; photocopying; distribution of papers; and assisting barristers and other members of staff.

Person Specification

  • Team player able to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Polite, friendly and of smart appearance
  • Demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be able to handle confidential information discreetly

Key Responsibilities

  • Full list of duties available in job descr. on website:
  • Organising the distribution of the post and DX each morning
  • Taking post to the post office daily
  • Taking documents to and from various courts, solicitors’ offices, etc.
  • Delivering skeleton arguments to courts & other chambers
  • Organising papers throughout Chambers and for offsite storage
  • Arranging internal/external photocopying
  • Sending and distributing emails and urgent documents in accordance with Keating Chambers’ protocol

Professional Qualifications
