IT Systems Engineer 

Our client, Fountain Court Chambers, is a long-established set of commercial barristers in the ‘magic circle’ and at the forefront of financial and commercial dispute resolution. Their members have a wide range of expertise across a range of practice areas and act in some of the highest profile and complex disputes.

Due to recent expansion in their IT support team, chambers is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for the next step in their career and will provide lots of opportunities to learn and progress. Working alongside the Head of IT and a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will provide BAU support and work on a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining computers, services and networks
• Monitoring general IT security and compliance – chambers are Cyber Essentials certified
• Managing the Microsoft 365 environment, including InTune
• Day-to-day responsibility for the Junior IT Support Engineer
• Overseeing the IT Helpdesk
• Part of the on-call out-of-hours rota

Required experience

• Strong Office 365 experience
• Good understanding of general IT security
• Strong Microsoft AD and Azure AD skills
• IT Security with InTune and Conditional Access
• Windows Servers and Windows 10/11
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience
• Good understanding of basic network concepts

Desirable experience

• Working in a professional/legal environment
• Working in a small team
• Networking, VPN, VOIP and firewall experience
• Demonstrable problem-solver
• Working under pressure and in a faced paced environment

Personal specification

• Strong academic record (A level or equivalent)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to form trusted and collaborative relationships
• Organised
• Strong attention to detail
• Results/solutions driven
