About this Job

The appointee will have overall responsibility for all aspects of Chambers’ practice management, marketing and business development, including the line management of staff in these functions.
This role is pivotal in managing barrister and client relationships and devising and driving our chambers’ business development strategy.
This will include substantial involvement in the development and effective management of our business in the Middle East.

Person Specification

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the legal industry and/or in a business development/marketing role within professional services. They will have a good knowledge of the legal industry and market trends.
  • They will possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both oral and written). They will have excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities to inspire, trust and lead their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage barrister and client relationships, ensuring they receive the highest level of support from the clerking team.
  • Implement the annual business development plan and encourage cross-selling of the wide range of services offered.
  • Produce strategic plans for consideration by the CMC.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies domestically and internationally (where required)
  • Research competitors and recruitment opportunities.
  • Devise cross-selling tactics for accessing new markets
  • Work closely alongside the Director of Operations to ensure seamless integration of Chambers’ operations and growth strategies

Professional Qualifications

They will have solid IT skills and knowledge of necessary software applications including Lex and Microsoft 365, and tools for data analysis and reporting.
