CIVIL PRACTICE MANAGER

5 Pump Court is a progressive, diverse, multidisciplinary set with specialist practice teams in civil, family and criminal law. We are recruiting a new Practice Manager for our ambitious civil team.

Our ideal candidate will have several years’ experience of civil clerking including diary management and business development, particularly focussing on property, business and personal injury cases. Our civil team is growing, and we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who can work with our members and our Chambers Director to build and expand on our current position.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• A proven track record in clerking and in business development;
• The ability to build effective working relationships with clients and members, and to work well in a small staff team;
• Good spoken and written communication skills;
• Good organisational and time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• In addition, we expect the successful applicant to have IT skills such as Word, Outlook, and Excel (we work on MLC but can provide training on that platform). Further and/or higher education would be an advantage
