About Miriam:

Miriam is a highly experienced crisis communications advisor specialising in safeguarding, education, criminal justice and security issues.

Miriam has handled communications for some of the most significant incidents and investigations of recent decades, including London’s multi-agency crisis response to Covid-19, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, the trial of the London ‘nailbomber’, the Soham murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence and the Paddington Rail Crash.

As former press officer at New Scotland Yard for the Metropolitan Police and what is now the National Crime Agency, Miriam became a founding member of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre in 2006, later becoming Head of Media Relations. She set up her own communications consultancy in 2011 and now supports a range of organisations. Current and recent clients include leading independent schools and universities, a national fostering agency, various law enforcement agencies and a prominent charity. Miriam is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
