Marketing Administrator - Leading Barristers’ Chambers - London

Our Client

Our Client is one of the UK’s leading Barristers Chambers specialising in Commercial and Common Law.  Chambers is acknowledged by the legal directories as “leaders in their field” in each of its main practice areas and now seeks to appoint a suitable individual to the role of Marketing Administrator.

The Marketing Administrator has shared responsibility for Chambers’ marketing activities and reports directly to the Director of Clerking, also working closely with members, colleagues and clients. The role provides an excellent opportunity to play an active part in the on-going development of Chambers’ marketing and business development functions.

Suitable candidates will be;

An experienced marketing professional, ideally with 3+ years’ experience of marketing in a legal or other professional services environment – experience in a Barristers Chambers or Law Firm is an advantage.  Preferably degree educated, you will have a can-do attitude, a professional outlook, and a willingness to get involved in what is a very varied role. 

The Role includes the following areas of responsibility:

Website and Social Media

  • Maintain and update Chambers’ website, working with Chambers’ website agency on technical management, upgrades and enhancements to the site and related online marketing
  • Maintain Chambers’ Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, contributing posts and co-ordinating posts from SMC, STCs and members

Legal Directories

  • Manage the submissions process, entering all submissions, liaising with directories and managing the process to ensure a continued increase in profile year-on-year.

Events

  • Work with SMC and STCs to organise and manage client seminars, parties, client lunches dinners and other events as required.

General

  • Work with the Senior Managing Clerk (SMC) and Senior Team Clerks (STCs) to prepare an annual marketing plan
  • Act as secretary to the marketing committee, including taking minutes of meetings, circulating agendas and arranging meeting dates
