Team Leader(s) - Leading Barristers Chambers

Our Client is a leading set of Barrister’s Chambers based in the Temple with 62 Barrister Members, including 19 QC’s who specialise in Employment, Public, Commercial and Media Law. Members act as both advisors and advocates in all aspects of their key practice areas, both domestically and internationally. Chambers prides itself on its friendly and professional atmosphere.

Following a detailed strategic review of its practice management functions, Chambers is now seeking to recruit to newly-created Team Leader positions to complement its highly-regarded clerking team.

Reporting to and in conjunction with the Joint Senior Clerks, the Team Leader will have primary oversight of the professional management and development of the practices of an assigned team of around 15 Barristers.  The Team Leader will be assisted by and responsible for directing and mentoring a ‘dedicated’ team clerk and junior clerk.  The Team Leader will be expected to promote and engage in significant business development activities with chambers’ current and established client base, as well as actively encouraging new business, supported by an outstanding administration function.   Working closely with their colleagues, the roles will continue to deliver and, where appropriate, improve on Chambers’ commitment to the provision of first class services for clients and its Members.

Suitable candidates will possess a track record of working effectively within a high-performing team and in a similar environment, be adept at leading, motivating and influencing others and possess a clear commitment to a career in practice management at the Bar.  A working knowledge of Chambers’ key practice areas would be helpful but is not essential.

These roles are expected to make a major contribution to the continued success of Chambers. Attractive remuneration packages, including benefits, commensurate with the seniority of these positions are being offered.

To apply for these roles, please complete and return an application form available by emailing recruitment@grllegal.com  A detailed job description is also available upon request.
