In January 2016, the UCL Centre for Access to Justice (CAJ) launched its own legal advice clinic, the UCL Integrated Legal Advice Clinic (UCL iLAC), working with students to deliver generalist advice across a broad spectrum of social welfare issues as well as specialist casework services in welfare benefits, housing, and community care, and education law where possible.
The CAJ is now looking to recruit an Operations Coordinator who will work closely with CAJ team members to coordinate the day to day activities and smooth running of the clinic.
In particular the Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the supervision of UCL iLAC volunteers, be the first point of contact for new client enquiries, maintaining up to date client case files, supporting with the evaluation and monitoring of the service, contribute to annual reports and budgets, and ensuring day to day logistical needs of UCL iLAC staff are met.
The post holder is expected to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance competing deadlines and demands. The post holder is also expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate non-routine matters clearly.
The post holder is also expected to have previous experience of working with and/or supervising volunteers as well as the ability to use casework systems.
