Junior Clerk - Leading Barristers Chambers

Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers specialising in Commercial, Employment and Public Law.  Chambers and its members are acknowledged as ‘leaders in the field’ in each of their specialist practice areas, regularly advising and appearing in many of the most significant and high-profile matters both domestically and internationally.

Chambers practice management and administration is lead by a dynamic and forward thinking senior management team and is recognised for its commitment to client service and hard work.

The role:

Chambers is now seeking a dedicated individual for the role of junior clerk. Working closely with their immediate colleagues, the role supports more senior members of the clerking team in providing a first-class practice management and administrative service to members of chambers and their clients.

On a day to day basis, the role undertakes administrative and support tasks including accompanying members of chambers to courts and tribunals with papers and documents; preparation of bundles and case materials; liaising with Courts for listing information; post and DX; banking and running general errands. The position also oversees more junior colleagues. 

The person:

Will possess a good academic record and ideally have gained a minimum of 12 month’s experienced in a similarly fast paced and dynamic chambers environment.

Will be a highly effective communicator, be well organised and able to work successfully to multiple and competing deadlines. Will be seeking a role in a high performing team and with a clear commitment to a career in Chambers.

The position is offered with a competitive salary of £21,215.64 pa, plus benefits.
