23 Essex Street is seeking to appoint a highly experienced individual to the post of Senior Clerk.

The Senior Clerk will work closely with the Head of Chambers, and the Management Committee to lead the continued development of Chambers business. As well as responsibility for Chambers’ strategic growth the Senior Clerk will implement Chambers’ business strategies.
The Senior Clerk will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective business service to all Chambers’ clients and Members of Chambers. The Senior Clerk will be responsible for the effective leadership, management and continued development of the Clerking Team.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of delivering excellence in clerking or business services at a senior level in chambers, legal or a professional services environment. They will also have high level strategic and business development skills, in combination with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of business and financial management will also be beneficial. They must be capable of working as part of a team as well as using their own initiative. Experience of Lex software would be an advantage.
