Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers providing specialist advisory and advocacy services, with a pre-eminent reputation for its Shipping, International Trade, and International Arbitration work. Chambers’ client base and the work its members undertake is global and spans multiple international jurisdictions.

Following a successful period of strategic change and growth, Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable individual to be the 'number two' in its clerking/practice management team. Working closely with the Senior Clerk / Practice Manager, Members of Chambers and Clients, the role will manage the day-to-day operation of Members’ practices, their diaries and commitments whilst also dealing effectively with the requirements of Chambers' professional clients.

Supported by two more junior colleagues, the role plays an important part in the successful and ongoing development of Members’ practices through the management of workloads, spotting and developing opportunities and managing client relationships.  The position is also expected to play a part in the delivery of Chambers’ business development and marketing initiatives and broader business plans. 

Suitable individuals will be highly motivated, possess outstanding communication skills and have the self-confidence and skill-set to deputise for the Senior Clerk / Practice Manager.
